Kailash Tribal School of Yoga & Holistic Healing is a friendly and professional Yoga Alliance USA certified Yoga center in Dharmasala, India, in the foothills of the Himalayas. From 2000 to 2020, we have run RYS 200, 300 and 500 hour  Yoga Teacher Training, and various Yoga Courses. We also provide a range of Holistic training, incorporating Reiki, Meditation, Philosophy, Ayurveda and Singing Bowl courses. All classes are taught by Yogi Sivadas E-RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance U.S.A. The school is based in Dharamkot, Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh, North India. Also in Vagamon and Varkala, Kerala South India.

 It truly was a life-changing experience for me and I benefitted a lot from this. . I really enjoyed Yogi Sivadas’ focus on healthy yoga, his advice and discussions on Vedic philosophy and life in general.

Code of Conduct, Payment and Cancellation Policy of Kailash Tribal School

Course programs of the Kailash Tribal School operate on a strict cancellation policy. Applicants are advised to keep a copy of this policy for their personal benefit. If you have any questions related to the policy or you feel your specific case not been covered by the policy, contact us and we will deal with your question on an individual basis.

Payment & Cancellation Policy of the Kailash Tribal School

Payment Methods

Payment for courses can be made in cash, via bank transfer, or through Transfer wise. Any transaction charges or bank transaction fees are the responsibility of the applicant.

Booking & Deposit

To secure a place in a course, an advance payment of 50% of the course fee is required. This deposit is non-refundable, but in the event of cancellation, it may be applied toward a future course.

Balance Payment

The remaining balance must be paid no later than one month before the course start date.

Cancellations

  • If cancellation is made up to one month prior to the course start date, the payment is non-refundable but may be applied toward a future course.
  • Any postponed course must be completed within one year of the original booking. Fees are not transferable to another person.
  • If cancellation occurs within one month of the course start date, or if the student fails to attend without prior notice, no refund will be issued.
  • All refunds are subject to an 18% GST and applicable transaction fee deductions.

Additional Costs

Expenses related to textbooks (not provided by the school), travel, or personal materials are the responsibility of the student. Any arrangements made by the school on behalf of the student must also be covered by the student.

School-Initiated Cancellations

Kailash Tribal School reserves the right to cancel any program due to emergency situations (though this has never happened). In such cases, applicants will receive a 100% refund. Courses will not be cancelled due to low enrollment.

If a student is expelExpulsionled due to intoxication, misbehavior, disrespect toward teachers or classmates, lack of attendance, or failure to meet course requirements, no refund will be given.

Agreement

By booking a course, students enter into a legal agreement to abide by this Payment & Cancellation Policy and to follow the course program. Course bookings are non-transferable.

The Kailash Tribal School operates under a strict Code of Conduct, rooted in the philosophies of Yoga, Ayurveda, and Reiki. Respect, camaraderie, tolerance, and mutual understanding form the foundation of all interactions between students, and between students and teachers.

By familiarizing yourself with this Code of Conduct, you will enhance the benefits you gain from your classes and courses.

Responsibilities of the Teacher

The Teacher of Kailash Tribal School of Yoga will:

  • Professional Standards – Uphold the highest professional standards in all interactions with students by conducting himself with integrity, respect, and responsibility.
  • Safe Environment – Create and maintain a safe, comfortable, and clean environment conducive to yoga and holistic learning.
  • Respect & Dignity – Respect the privacy, dignity, and personal space of all students.
  • Awareness of Limitations – Remain conscious of his scope of practice and avoid teaching or advising beyond his professional limitations.
  • Inclusivity – Encourage diversity and remain nonjudgmental toward students regardless of age, race, gender, cultural background, or religious orientation.
  • Traditional Principles – Follow the ethical guidelines of yoga, as expressed in the Yamas and Niyamas, and integrate them into teaching and practice.
  • Legal Compliance – Adhere to all relevant national laws of India governing yoga, Ayurveda, Reiki, and holistic healing education.
  • Student Well-being – Refer students to alternative teachers, professionals, or resources when appropriate.

Responsibilities of Students

Students of Kailash Tribal School are expected to:

  • Respect & Conduct – Treat teachers, fellow students, and staff with respect, tolerance, and kindness.
  • Commitment to Learning – Attend classes regularly, arrive on time, and participate wholeheartedly in the program.
  • Healthy Environment – Help maintain a safe, peaceful, and clean learning environment.
  • Healthy Lifestyle – Follow a healthy lifestyle in alignment with the principles of Yoga, Ayurveda, and Reiki. Recording of classes is not permitted.
  • Self-Study – Dedicate free hours to studying the provided syllabus and deepening understanding of the teachings.
  • Insurance – Arrange and maintain personal health and other necessary insurance coverage.
  • Health Disclosure – Inform the teacher of any pre-existing or newly arising health conditions or issues.
  • Focus & Presence – Stay attentive to the course content and practices. Mobile phones are not allowed in the classroom.
  • Engagement – Follow the teachings diligently and bring up any issues or questions directly with the teacher in open discussion.
  • Commitment – During long-term programs at Kailash Tribal School, refrain from enrolling in courses at other institutions.

The Teacher of Kailash Tribal School of Yoga will:

  • Uphold the professional standards of his teaching profession throughout all his interactions with students by conducting himself in a professional manner.
  • Create and maintain a safe, comfortable and clean environment conducive to the practice of yoga.
  • Respect the right to privacy and dignity of all students.
  • Be conscious and aware of his limitations as a yoga teacher according to his scope of practice.
  • Encourage diversity and be nonjudgmental towards students regardless of their age, racial background, gender or religious orientation.
  • Avoid words or actions that constitute any form of sexual harassment.
  • Adhere to the basic traditional principles of yoga as written in Yamas and Niyamas.
  • Follow and adhere to the national laws of India that pertain to the Yoga and Holistic healing school and teaching activity.
  • When appropriate he will refer a student to seek alternative instructions or advice.

Students are expected to:

  • Be punctual for all classes and arranged meetings in relation to the yoga school.
  • Students must engage themselves with self studying the given syllabus in free hours.
  • Avoid the use of intoxicants while taking part in any of the courses.
  • Purchase own health and other needed insurance.
  • Be respectful, polite, honest and fair in their interactions with the teacher and fellow students.
  • Follow the yogic lifestyle as outlined in the Yamas and Niyamas. Do not record classes.
  • Inform the teacher about any per-existing or arising health conditions and issues.
  • Be focused on the course, its content and practices. Don’t bring Mobile phones into classroom.
  • Follow the teachings and engage in discussions with the teacher if any issues or questions arise.
  • During any long-term courses with Kailash Tribal School don’t join courses from other institutions.
